Guy’s Guide

Chapter Two: Sloth
Jaime’s Guide to Where to Stay

Where you stay in Vegas all depends on what you are willing to spend and what you want. I’ve piled with six other guys into a hotel room made for four pretty easy. I chose the floor, while the guys who split the mattress and box spring were dreading losing the coin flip.

I’ve also known people who were coming in for one night and were leaving around noon the next day, and they didn’t even bother with accommodations as they just figured they wouldn’t sleep anyway. It’s Vegas, right? Um, yeah, but unless you are really here for one night and one night only, that’s not quite the way to go.

So, with the seemingly endless number of places to stay, how do you choose just one? Well, let’s start with when to come. Realize that Las Vegas packs them in by the tens of thousands week after week, and there are certain weekends when everyone wants to be here. Now, you don’t want to be here when it’s dead either, but just know what you are getting into. Crowds can get out of control.

Chapter Five: Lust
Tiffannie’s Guide to Clubs

There is a club for you no matter your personality. Even the lay-low types have a place to play, drink and dance. But it all depends on how awe-inspiring and lifechanging you want your experience to be. Finding a club that suits you is like finding the perfect man. OK, it’s easier than that. But first you have to get the lingo down.

There are sub-categories of clubs, believe it or not, and learning these is the first step. There are clubs, after-hours clubs, ultra-lounges and casual clubs. And, naturally, they all have their own theme.

The key to having fun is to start early. Early by Vegas standards, anyway. Ten o’clock is a good time to shoot for because you will probably end up leaving the hotel by eleven. If you can swing it, try to get your name on a list, or sweet-talk a bouncer, and you’ll have a better chance of getting inside the club by midnight.
